Description

Messages on friendship and bullying are sensitively explored throughout and there is a lovely moment towards the end where Jeanie takes inspiration from her Bad Nana and speaks out. Bad Nana is quite unlike Jeanie’s other two grandmas: she dresses entirely in black, with an occasional sparkly pink turban that makes her look like an alien overlord. The story is simple and funny, but the most enjoyable element of the book is undoubtedly the bold neon artwork that explodes from every single page.

Este é o segundo livro que estou a ler da série "Oma Knetter", sendo que li o segundo volume primeiro. They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated! But to justify how Jeanie didn't like her younger brother just a little bit was not my favorite part because Jeanie experienced bullies from Georgina and the museum guy, she should know how it feels to be disliked. Bad Nana decided to take actions against the rules by using something in her purse while Jeanie and Jack kept a lookout for the park keeper. So, when Bad Nana offers to help on a school trip to the local museum, there's a good chance that she will be up to her usual fun and games and Jeanie can't do anything to stop it.

She studied Fashion at Central Saint Martins, accidentally had a London based career as an Art Director in advertising, then completed an MA at University of Brighton in Illustration. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. She can not seem to go anywhere without getting involved in just a tiny bit of trouble; popping unwanted items into other people’s trolleys at the supermarket, disrupting line-dancing classes or getting locked in the village hall, Nana and naughty go together. Similar to Henn's Pizazz with big font (some bigger and bolder than others for emphasis) and illustrations on almost every page, but I didn't find the story as funny as Pizazz.
