Description

The original Liber Chaotica books were the first to catalogue the full horror of the four Chaos gods - Khorne, Slaanesh, Nurgle and Tzeentch.

I think Khaine was always really awkward in this regard, way back in Warhammer Fantasy Third Edition he was explicitly referred to as an example of an evil deity who wasn't affilliated with Chaos but given his name and sphere seem so similar to Khorne and he was worshipped by the Dark Elves (who way back then were explicitly Chaos corrupted), you obviously had to ask questions. Quite sad, this is definitely one of my all time favourite gw publications and this is undeniably ( imo) a consequence of the prudishness / purity cult that is running unchecked through many parts of society right now. Most were excellently written, but the one which seems prized above almost all of them was the Liber Chaotica. It explores and outlines how the very nature of Chaos has a grip on varied societies across the Old World and other regions, but it also goes further. And Khorne being shattered by Slaanesh just like what was said to have happened to Khaine during the Fall of the Eldar? The Book has five volumes, the first four coinciding with one of the major Dark Gods of Chaos, and the fifth concerning Chaos Undivided. We would like to thank the team: Grzegorz Bonikowski, Piotr Narloch, Janek Podraza, Joanna Podraza, Paweł Potakowski, Adam Stefańczyk and Rafał Zduński, for their commitment. We had no influence on the situation, but we still feel obliged to apologize to you, our readers, for not being able to provide you with the long-awaited title. With His mighty arms, Khorne sought to crush the life from Slaanesh before He had even left His womb, but the war god had not counted on the passion of Slaanesh's creators, and the harder He squeezed the greater the pressure became to drive His arms apart. Slaanesh's tempermental screams and self-tormenting nightmares echoed through the Aethyr, and insanity bloomed on every world.

The work emphasizes Slaanesh's birth, descriptions on the god, and the religious cult following the deity. Then with a scream of release that ripped through the Warp, Slaanesh threw off His eldest brother and burst into being. As noted it could be the artwork and Poland's specific stance on things and GW simply issued a blanket statement that is a neutral one that doesn't point the finger at anyone. The original 'Liber Chaotica' books were the first real attempt by any author to catalogue the four Chaos gods, the source of all magic and evil in the Warhammer world.Terrible storms raged throughout Heaven and Hell, and rains of fire lashed across Khorne's back, but His grip ever stayed firm around His embryonic sibling. These books sold out almost overnight and the combined hardcover featuring brand new material, which was released in July 2005, sold out just as quickly.
