The front cover in itself would be enough to draw children in as it is laced with gold artwork and reveals the magical theme that runs throughout. David Q: I like it because when we read it, it's like we're in the book and I think this book is amazing. If you are about to start this wonderful book in your literacy lessons, this bundle could save you so much time!

This book allows children to explore their own imaginations as it lets them question what the place between really is. With diecut holes into and out of the 'Place Between', the reader takes a journey right through the pages of the book, into the mysterious world of Grahame Baker-Smith's breath-taking illustrations. Filled with rabbits, doves, playing cards and magician's assistants – among other things – if a magician can make it disappear, it will end up in the Place Between! Could you use similar techniques to create images for your own story (or for a popular children’s book)?

A message which would sit well with children and encourage them to also believe in themselves to get wanted responses.

Although the illustrations are a bit creepy and questionable at times, it really draws the children in and makes the story unique. With his beloved soft toy Lionheart at his side, Richard has the courage to confront his night-time fears. This resource has some lovely ideas to support the text and engage the childrens curiosity as we go through it. Leon attends a circus show with his friends who are all hoping to lose themselves to the magic and mystery of the event.Leon and the Place Between written by Graham Baker-Smith is a delightful tale featuring Leon and an exciting magic show. Your class are challenged to identify different nouns, verb, adjectives and adverbs from the story and group them. I couldn't wait to turn the page and my little one sat in silence, riveted which is somewhat unusual as he inherited his daddys fly away attention span HAHA! The storyline is simple and easy to follow, however as I reader the capital letters in the middle of sentences feel unnecessary.

You can only sit in the same seating cluster as someone from your own household (or support bubble) and we ask you to not swap seats so we can maintain a safe distance between you and other groups. Assistance dogs may be taken into the concert hall where there are a limited number of suitable seats in row G of the stalls. Children will recognise the enchanting styles of the famous names through their other titles such as Winter’s Child and FArTHER.An equally interesting topic of debate is the magician, who seems so mysterious yet almost ominous, creating a feeling of awe and unease.

I like how the book contains some fold-out pages and cut out parts so that the illustrations on the next stage come through to the previous page. Many different strategies can be carried out with this book, such as role play, writing letters or diaries and stories.

His brothers and sisters are in for a big surprise however: this is no ordinary show and Abdul Kazam is no ordinary magician. Your class will read up to page twelve, where they see Leon’s face and will complete this table for words with the suffix -ed.
