Description

You can have your students color in, cut out, and paste them together onto a piece of construction paper, then cut out a picture of themselves and paste it in the middle. For example, you could print out multiples, put them in a jar and have your students guess how many there are. The person with the closest answer, without going over, wins a prize! You can use my candy cane templates to create this adorable craft that, when completed, can be used as decoration in your home (or you can take it to your office!). If you’re hosting a Christmas party, you’re paying for the food and the drinks – you don’t want to pay an arm and leg for decorations.

First, you can simply keep them as paper, lovingly colored in and decorated by your kids, and hang them with the cane crook. When you’re halfway up the candy cane, you will stuff tissues inside. Continue to staple and stuff until you have closed up the candy cane. 2. Doorknob Hangers You could also use each stripe for a different math problem, with the problems getting more difficult as you go up the candy cane. Once they’ve cooled, you can hot glue them to the wreath without worrying about attracting pests. 6. Gift Bag Embellishments To add an extra lively touch to the bag, you can take a small rectangle of paper and fold it, accordion style, two or three times before you attach the candy cane.

When you’re hosting a family-friendly Christmas party, you’ll want to keep the kids occupied (for a little bit, at least). They’ll make great wall hangings, strung together as bunting or as part of your place settings. 8. Classroom Activities Second, you can print them onto shrink sheets, have your kids color them in with markers, and bake them. Cut it out, and you can use the crook of the candy can to hang it on the doorknob. 1. Wrapping Paper

If you like the idea of a candy cane wreath but you don’t want to use actual candy canes – they can attract insects, after all – you could use my templates. Once they’re cool, you can again hang them by the crook of the candy cane. 3. Stapled Candy Cane Puffs Then blindfold the kids, have them spin around, and attempt to place the bow on the candy cane. 4. Christmas Tree Ornaments You can do this by setting up a table with my candy cane templates, markers, glue, ribbon, construction paper, sequins, glitter – anything for kids to design their own candy cane.My candy cane templates are perfect for the DIY Christmas card maker, as they can be decorated however you want. You can use my candy cane templates as inexpensive decorations around your house or office when you want to make a big impact at a small price. You could print them onto shrink sheets, color them with markers, and then bake them. They’ll shrink to about half their original size. You can select the candy canes of your choice and copy and paste them onto a word processor document or illustrator document. You could take glitter pens to the templates or fill in the lines with construction paper cut down into stripes.

Then you can paste the candy cane to the front of the card and write your greeting. 9. Christmas Party Decorations Dress them up with ribbons tied into bows or leave them plain and simple, colored in red and white. There is something so heartfelt about hand-decorating a gift bag before giving it to your recipient.
