About this deal

Of course, the box also contains two balanced armies of psychic behemoths – the Daemon-hunting Grey Knights, and the masters of Tzeentch’s magical legacy, the Thousand Sons.

The NEMESIS unit cannot be set up as Reinforcements or Strategic Reserves. If the NEMESIS unit is a PSYKER, and your opponent has access to the psychic disciplines it can select from, then in addition to Smite, they can select psychic powers for the NEMESIS unit before the battle, as described on that unit’s datasheet. If not, the NEMESIS unit will only know the Smite psychic power as described earlier. Each of these warriors is of such purity that, once gathered together and focusing their powers, there are few malevolent entities that can overwhelm them. While this unit contains between 5 and 9 models, add 1 to Deny the Witch tests taken for this unit. While this unit contains 10 or more models, add 2 to Deny the Witch tests taken for this unit. The warriors of the Adeptus Astartes are the most elite soldiers mankind has ever produced, and the Grey Knights are the elite of the elite. With even more intensive screening processes for their initiates than other chapters the Grey Knights are incorruptible to Chaos. Among these most elite Space Marines the “rank and file” members of their chapter, if you can use the term rank and file in reference to Space Marines, are the Grey Knight Strike Squad. While all chapters have squads for their most basic marines the Grey Knight Strike Squad has access to the most exotic weaponry of any of them. With every member of the Grey Knights being a powerful Psyker and their primary purpose being the destruction of Daemons of Chaos it makes sense these warriors would be armed with weapons to match such a purpose. The psyker weaves a coruscating aurora of psychic power into his allies’ warding sigils, causing them to flare with protective power. Blessing: Aegis Eternal has a warp charge value of 6. If manifested, until the start of your next Psychic phase, each time a model in this PSYKER’s unit would lose a wound, roll one D6: on a 6, that wound is not lost. While this PSYKER’s unit is within 3" of a friendly GREY KNIGHTS APOTHECARY, if this PSYKER’s unit is INFANTRY, that wound is not lost on a 5+ instead.Army composition exists to support the idea of "I want to win, badly." If you like Terminators and Paladins and named Characters I'm not saying you can't win with them, I'm saying it's going to be a lot harder. Once you have selected an eligible unit to declare a charge, you must select one or more enemy units within 12" of it as the targets of that charge. The targets of a charge do not need to be visible to the charging unit. prefer greater mobility and a lighter touch than the sledgehammer of a Terminator assault. [3] Images

Teleport Strike “During deployment, you can set up this unit in a teleportarium chamber instead of placing it on the battlefield. At the end of any of your Movement phases this unit can teleport into battle – set it up anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 9″ away from any enemy models.” These warriors act as a psychic lodestone for their brethren, boosting their abilities and anchoring the battle line. While a friendly < BROTHERHOOD> CORE unit is within 6" of this unit, each time that unit successfully manifests the Smite psychic power, you can re-roll the dice to determine the number of mortal wounds inflicted. Bolt weapon: A ranged weapon whose profile includes the word ‘bolt’, or a Relic that replaces a bolt weapon. The boltgun profile of a combi-weapon is also a bolt weapon, as are any of the weapons listed under Bolt Weapons. I use Adeptus Battlegrey as my base colour, it has fantastic coverage and is a great colour to work up from. It can be bought from a 3rd party that makes GW Foundations colours. Current GW equivalent would be Mechanicus Standard grey, which can be bought as a spray can which would cut this step out entirely. WashI base coat these in Mephiston Red, wash with Agrax, re-layer with Mephiston, highlight with Trollslayer Orange, then wash the whole thing with Baal red. My Baal is just about to run out though, so I’ll be trying Carroburg Crimson for the wash although I fear it’s a considerably different colour. Perhaps a substantially thinned Blood Angels Red Contrast might work. Metallics Each brotherhood has an associated brotherhood Stratagem. If your army includes a Brotherhood of Psykers Detachment (excluding Auxiliary Support, Super-heavy Auxiliary and Fortification Network Detachments), then you will gain access to the relevant brotherhood Stratagem. Psychic Locus- Your BROTHER-CAPTAIN grants +1 to Cast in a 6” Aura for a Psychic Phase. Whilst costly at 2 CP, this is a fantastic force multiplier, great to ensure key powers go off, or to assist in damage dealing by making repeated Smites easier to use. Only affects BROTHERHOOD units though, so doesn’t work on units like DRAIGO or PALADINS , so be aware of that when positioning. The psyker reaches for the time-warping power of the immaterium, granting his battle-brothers the speed and foresight to target enemies even in the chaos and confusion of melee. Blessing: Temporal Accuracy has a warp charge value of 5. If manifested, until the start of your next Psychic phase, all storm bolters, master-crafted storm bolters, and Relics that replace either of these weapons, that models in this PSYKER’s unit are equipped with are treated as being Pistol 4 weapons with a range characteristic of 12". Use this Stratagem in your Command phase. Select one WARDMAKERS CHARACTER unit from your army. Select one psychic power from the Dominus discipline that model does not know to replace one of the psychic powers that it does.

I used to use Codex Grey for this step, but that’s since been replaced by Dawnstone which is very close in colour and is very good to work with. Original GK fluff had something about them having unpainted armour, and unpainted ceramite from a Forgeworld was codex grey, which is why I went the grey rather than silver route. I think this has since been retconned but I’m not sure. I make sure to leave some of the blue tinted base colour in all of the recesses while doing this step. That's really it. Stretch out their lines by deliberately sacrificing some of your own units in key moments. Sneak your Dreadknights around the field, hiding behind cover and terrain, prolonging how long it takes to shoot them off the board (like hide them, don't charge units unless you're in a bad position with no other choice and your Dreadknight is on 2 wounds left; move them around to keep lascannons coming their way for as many turns as possible). Build your army list to jam as many 2+ Armor Save PAGK and OC bodies into it as possible, and count on the fact that your opponent probably built their list to fish for a stupid combo.

We stood staring into the abyss. The maw of Chaos had opened wide to swallow us and then devour the world. We knew that we had failed and billions would die. You cannot understand the despair our failure brought. You cannot, therefore, know the joy we felt when we saw them arrive. They were armoured gods who appeared from nowhere and shattered the warp-spawn before they could devour our souls." You will not kill everything off the table with this list. You will likely not even kill half of their army with this list. This list is not built for killing enemy units; it is for playing the objectives and winning games with little else considered. It is not an easy list to play if you're used to just pointing units at other units to roll dice; if you didn't take the Supremacy or Domination secondaries the last couple editions, this will be a hard list for most of you to use at first. To determine whether the NEMESIS is present, roll one D6, adding 1 to the result if your opponent’s army contains any units with the CHAOS DAEMONS Faction keyword: on a 5+, the NEMESIS unit is aiding your opponent, and is added to their army for the battle. This model is ignored when calculating the total Power Level of your opponent’s army, cannot be the WARLORD and cannot perform Actions or gain experience points from any Agendas your opponent selects. This model is not added to any Detachments, and does not prevent other units from their army benefiting from abilities that require every model in an army to have that ability.Presaged Paralysis- One enemy unit you select at the start of your Charge Phase cannot Overwatch or Set to Defend that turn. Not bad for 15pts, and can be important to ensure a unit makes it to melee unscathed. Mental Focus- A PSYKER can manifest an additional Power in a Psychic Phase. For 1 CP for most units this amounts to either an additional Smite, or their Brotherhood power, though for Grand Master esque Characters who know more than they can cast, this is helpful to use their full repertoire of powers, particularly if it’s a power they won’t need to use every turn like Warp Shaping. Handy to have, though not always needed. Finest Hour- +3” to a CHARACTERS Auras for a Phase, to a max of 12”. A nice boost to ensure units are in range of important auras, or can move into more advantageous positions and still receive the benefits. Useful to have for only 1 CP, though not something necessary every turn or indeed every game. Unit has the following abilities: And They Shall Know No Fear, Bolter Discipline, Masters of the Warp.
