About this deal

My 6-year-old son has now read the whole series unaided and is quite content to re-read the stories again and again. My 5-year-old is dying to be able to read well enough so she can read them independently too!"

Henry is after some money, so he aims to make some accidents on his family, but Moody Margaret gets the better of him. Perfect Peter: Uh, no probably not. [closes the door and a toy falls down, the door then opens again] NOTE: This episode takes place during the events of Horrid Henry Wins the Cup, Horrid Henry Reads a book, Horrid Henry and the Terrific Teenager and Horrid Henry: The Great Escape, except focusing on Henry with Peter narrating the majority of the episode. Miss Battle-Axe told Henry that he can wear the pink underwear she found in the boy's toilet causing everyone to laugh and he screams, ' Noooo!!!', ending the episode.

Henry learns how to play the cello, and Peter reveals that he has been practising air guitar in secret. Henry can't decide what to call a kitten as they try and make situations to prove that it should be the name they wanted it to be. In the book, the episode starts off with Henry receiving the pants first thing. The episode, however, starts with Al, Ralph, and Bert all trying to debag Henry at the end of school, but they get stopped and Henry debags them all instead.

Henry is chosen as one of the entries for the Brainbox of the Year competition, Peter stays with Great-Aunt Greta, while Mum and Dad go on a Great Escape out of Ashton. Like Dennis the Menace and Curious George, Horrid Henry is either finding trouble or creating it, and the kids are crazy about his antics." Moody Margaret decides to become a president of the free world and Henry is excited to have her out of his life.Peter has had enough of Henry, so he plots his revenge on him by sending Moody Margaret a love letter.

Sweets are being handed out to pupils at school and Henry wants to get one. Henry also has to get given an injection that has a very low chance of being given to a pupil. Henry completes a challenge and a part of it includes being horrid. This may not sound anything like breakfasts, but it will become clear when it comes to the show!My throat is hurting!” “My stomach is hurting!” Mom trudged up the stairs. Mom trudged down the stairs. “Chips,” screeched Henry. “Throat lozenge,” croaked Peter. “Tissue,” wheezed Dad. Mom staggered up the stairs. Mom staggered down the stairs. Then Horrid Henry saw the time. Three thirty. School was finished! The weekend was here! It was amazing, thought Horrid Henry, how much better he suddenly felt. Horrid Henry threw off his blanket and leapt out of bed. “Mom!” he shouted. “I’m feeling much better. Can I go and play on the computer now?” Mom staggered into his room. “Thank goodness you’re better, Henry,” she whispered. “I feel terrible. I’m going to bed. Could you bring me a cup of tea?” What? “I’m busy,” snapped Henry. Mom glared at him. “All right,” said Henry, grudgingly. Why couldn’t Mom get her own tea? She had legs, didn’t she? Horrid Henry escaped into the living room. He sat down at the computer and loaded “Intergalactic Robot Rebellion: This Time It’s Personal.” Bliss. He’d zap some robots, then have a go at “Snake Master’s Revenge.” “Henry!” gasped Mom. “Where’s my tea?” “Henry!” rasped Dad. “Bring me a drink of water!” “Henry!” whimpered Peter. “Bring me an extra blanket.” Horrid Henry scowled. Honestly, how was he meant to concentrate with all these interruptions?

Henry's over-the-top behavior, the characters' snappy dialogue, an d Ross's hyperbolic line art w ill engage even the mo st reluctant readers." Kids will love reading the laugh-out-loud funny stories about someone whose behavior is even worse than their own." Henry wants a new drone after seeing that Ralph has it and that he gets to miss school. The teachers also don't seem to know that Ralph is controlling a drone. The Virtuous Veggie,” read the sign. “The all new vegetable restaurant!” Horrid Henry gazed in horror at the menu posted outside. “Yummy!” said Perfect Peter. “Look, Henry,” said Mom. “It’s serving all your new favorite vegetables.” Horrid Henry opened his mouth to protest. Then he closed it. He knew when he was beaten. In the book, it's Mrs Oddbod who finds Henry and Peter in the bathroom. In the episode, it's Miss Battle-Axe getting Henry because his time in the bathroom ran out.NOTE: This episode takes place during the events of Horrid Henry and the Terrific Teenager, Horrid Henry and the Measly Mascot and Horrid Henry: The Great Escape, except focusing on Henry. When Henry decides to swap pants with Peter in the book, Peter is playing tag in the playground with Tidy Ted. In the episode, Miss Lovely is reading Peter's class The Three Little Pigs in the library. When Prissy Polly and Vomiting Vera come to visit, Henry ends up in a situation in having to change Vera's stinky nappy. This is the third episode when Ralph became enemies with Henry, and the first episode when Aerobic Al and Beefy Bert became enemies with Henry. I think that this book would appeal to year 2 or year 3. The children would find the book funny and it would be a light-hearted way to approach some of the issues in the book such as Henry being un-kind to other children in the playground.
