Abriella really goes through the full gamut of emotions and mental processing, and seeing her deal with what happened as she tries to figure out who she is now and what matters most to her is an amazing character arc! the writing was awful 😞 the characters were repulsive 😔, the plot was as nonexistent as my career 🙁. Still, I very much enjoyed the further unfolding of secrets, the romance, and learning more about this world. But when she suddenly finds herself caught in a web of lies of her own making--loving two princes and trusting neither--things are not quite as clear as she once thought.

In this book, they travel more, so we can see the Wild Lands, the Unseelie court and lands, and even a hidden and dangerous realm. i think i died 48383 times while trying to get through the never-ending cringe, i honestly don’t know how I did it. So yes, Ryan and Hodderscape, if you wish to explore more stories set in this world (*cough*, maybe the Wild Fae Lands, *cough*)… I wouldn’t be against that… not at all! In which case, here’s a wedding ring and you can choose the venue for our elopement), I do think this book had potential. I loved following Abriella's journey back from the deceit and pain of the betrayals she experienced/inflicted during THV, and watching her learn how to trust in this new world as a member of the Fae.I’m so, so happy that Brie ended up with who she did- I was rooting for them from the very beginning and I think they just make the perfect couple.

Towards the end I did start to get nervous that it wasn't all going to be wrapped up in time, or feel rushed, but it didn't.It builds upon the world introduced in These Hollow Vows, traveling beyond the bounds of the Seelie Court and Unseelie palace.
